- This family-size summer salad (above) was created by The White House's main chef, Sam Kass. I like that it's loaded with seasonal garden veggies but it's still simple enough to make without a lot of prep.
- For my fellow gluten free-eaters: this quinoa, avocado, and pea salad by Two Peas & Their Pod looks like the perfect recipe to bring to a summer bbq when you're not sure what else you'll be able to eat!
- This mixed berry salad looks divine.
- A healthier version of my favorite combo: chicken, bacon, and avocado chopped salad with a homemade herb vinaigrette by Gimme Some Oven.
- Potato salad with dill horseradish aioli (below). This last recipe by A Thought For Food isn't quite like the lighter ones above, but it looked too good not to share. I think this would be a great side dish to any summer meal as well.
